GreenToronto Feburary 29th Eco-Makerspace Workshop

On February 29th, GreenToronto hosted an eco-makerspace workshop at Lorvale Academy for a group of 15 young students. Team leaders Andy Song, Agnes Yang, Mary Mei and 4 volunteers worked together to direct a sustainable art project where they engaged in making fun animal-themed crafts from recycled plastic water bottles and plastic shopping bags. The objective of the project was to demonstrate to students the intersections of creativity and environmental consciousness.

Making these crafts from recycled materials served as a reminder of the power of collective action in environmental challenges. This experience helped students learn about the importance of sustainable practices and motivated to continue advocating for mindful consumption and recycling initiatives in our community.
