As part of the Crescent delegation, Andy participated in North America's premiere Secondary Schools’ United Nations Symposium (SSUNS) hosted by McGill University in Montreal from November 9-12th. Around 1300 students participated this event. SSUNS offers a unique platform for youth leaders to discuss, collaborate, and discover innovative solutions to global issues.
Andy and his partner Arqish were given the Sergeant Tommy Prince Award for Diplomacy in the double delegation of the World Health Organization committee. One of the three top awards in each committee, it is presented to the delegates who demonstrate innovative and creative policy writing as well as an eloquent and persuasive manner of speech.
Andy relished this opportunity to practice his communication skills through making speeches, presenting holistic joint resolutions, and meeting / collaborating with new people from all over North America.
